The Practice
The Mitcham Medical Centre is a modern, purpose built surgery with three full time partners two salaried doctors a nurse practioner a nurse and full complement of staff. We have a branch surgery (886 Garratt Lane, Tooting SW17 ONB) and serve a practice population of 10,500 over the 2 sites.
We are a very friendly practice and are enthusiastic and committed to teaching and have been teaching medical students from St. Georges Hospital for a number of years.
The practice has patients with a broad mix of social classes and culture backgrounds which will give excellent experience to our registrar. We are a paperless practice with path links to our local hospital and have a practice library containing the latest books and journals. The partners are actively involved in both the local PCT and LMC.
In addition to the normal primary care services the practice offers the following in house services to our patients:

- Ante-natal clinics
- Phlebotomy
- Addiction clinics
- Child Health Surveillance
The Registrar
- Our registrar will benefit from there own consulting room fully equipped and with internet access
- There will be the opportunity to participate in other clinics and the St George’s Half Day Release Course
- Full complement of study leave is guaranteed and there is minimal on call duties
- Full support will be given for summative assessment and the MRCGP exams
